Chronicles: Making a Mark

Tonight the Condo Chicks, headed out collectively for a change with a group of well seasoned industry “people.” We set out to meet everybody at a neat little bar called “The Pour House.” We all ended up at a great table on the bar’s rooftop terrace. With over a dozen eggs, I mean young professionals sitting at the table, the gossip regarding the real estate world began. It was a lot of fun to talk about the industry and to essentially compare ideas and knowledge regarding the growth of all our businesses. It’s really nice when you can get a group together who are interested in helping each other succeed. We are all working on our own ideas yet we respect each other’s ideas as well. We are all unique in our own way and each bring something special to the table. There is no stealing of ideas here…It’s all about karma and working together. As we are all amongst conversation, I glance up and notice my new man has come all the way here to surprise me. Normally I don’t like the surprise visit, but I have to give him credit. He hiked it all the way here on one of the hottest days of the city in his suit. With sweat dripping down his face he gives me a wink and takes a seat beside me. Sweet. Very sweet actually. I have to admit that this guy is starting to make his “mark” in my life. Maybe that’s why I have not cried yet. His idea of making a mark was buying me a frying pan for me as a Valentine’s Day gift. No, seriously, that was my gift.
